SHIKSHANMAHRSHI DR. BAPUJI SALUNKHE LIBRARY, TALMAVALE

 ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:

As the library plays crucial role in the overall development and addition to the total sum of knowledge of the students and faculty members, the management has given prime importance to the efficient functioning of the library in the College. Our College is situated in a remote, rural and hilly area and the students of the College do not have any other library facility except the College’s library. The professional library service is not available within 25 km area. Therefore, the library of the College is the only resource for fulfilling the intellectual and educational needs of the students and holistic development of their personality.

The majority of the students admitted in this College belong to socially and economically backward classes, so they cannot buy textbooks or reference books. The College library provides library facilities to the students at minimum cost under various student welfare schemes. The Management has developed the library through grants received from UGC, College funds, Sanstha funds as well as with the help of community participation. From the year of establishment of the College in 1969 till date, the College library has a collection of 51627 books and 14293 titles.
